Safety is our top priority. We have invested in a top of the line security system with video access to all classrooms, common areas and entrances to the building as well as the outdoor space and parking lot. Access is only allowed for authorized staff and visitors that have been approved and buzzed in by staff. Our faculty, staff and regular visitors have been fingerprinted and passed OEC background checks. All faculty and staff are trained in CPR, Med Certification, EpiPen and First Aid. For the safety of your child, only emergency contacts or approved pickup list of parents, grandparents, relatives and other caregivers are allowed to pick up at the end of the day. WE WILL NEVER RELEASE A CHILD TO SOMEONE NOT ON THE APPROVED LIST FROM THE FAMILY.

We are open from 6:30am – 6pm.

In order to provide the best learning environment River Oak Academy allocates a minimum of 35 share feet per child. Ratios of staff to child vary by age. 6 weeks to 32 months the ratio is 1:4, 32 months+ the ratio is 1:10.

River Oak Academy strives to provide a fulfilling relationship, not just for your child but for staff as well. We believe that a revolving door of teachers provides instability in the program and that when teachers feel valued and supported that extends to your child. Our team of teachers and staff are required to have a minimum of 1 year’s working in childcare or an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. We firmly believe that you must continue to educate yourselves in order to provide the best education for the children. River Oak Academy not only mandates continuing education, we provide that continuing education in-house.

Yes, there is an outdoor play area with age appropriate equipment that meets or exceeds safety and physical education standards.

Children at River Oak Academy are responsible for their own behavior, but first they need to learn how to make good choices. Our teachers provide supportive care with positive reinforcement and encourage every child to learn how to self regulate.
